Foundation Pharmacists: Wales

In Wales, Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) employ all foundation pharmacists, and Rowlands acts as a placement provider. All training is multisectoral across different healthcare settings. The programme is split into two 6-month placement blocks, where prescribing elements will be provided in the second 6-month placement. 

Rowlands Pharmacy are providing placements in both the first and second placement block, depending on our DPP availability in our Welsh pharmacies.

As a provider of multiple placements, you will also have access to our Training Programme Director, who will conduct an Induction session for all Foundation Trainees and check in with trainees, Rowlands supervisors and DPP regularly.

You will be provided with training delivered by HEIW, and Rowlands Pharmacy will give you access to a variety of learning materials and resources to support your development during your time with us.
